The Science Museum group approached us to make a film for their ‘Brass, Steel and Fire’ exhibition that explored what makes an engineer. The film had to dissect, make relevant and celebrate engineering but most of all it needed tons of personality. We became obsessed with what drives people to Make.

We collaborated with an artisan blacksmith, a model railway enthusiast and a professor of horology, all heroes of their craft. A light-hearted and warm treatment kept the joy front and centre with underlying messages about what an engineer really is.
